Update planners with Agenda and HW

  1. Comparing Imagery p. 676
    • Open your journal to 2 new pages that face each other.
    • On the right page of your notebook, complete Cornell Notes on the following:
      1. Define "imagery"
      2. How does imagery help writers?
      3. Why is comparing imagery important?
      4. What are aesthetic qualities?
      5. How do image patterns or motifs help the reader?
      6. Write a three sentence summary.
  2. Imagery Chart p. 676
    1. On the left page of your notebook, copy the imagery chart you see on p. 676.
    2. Include sight, soound, taste, smell, touch.
    3. Leave it blank for now, we will fill it in as we read.
  3. Vocabulary p. 676
    • Turn to the next 2 new pages in your journal.
    • On the right page of your notebook, copy the 8 new vocabulary words and definitions using Cornell Notes.
    • On the left page of your notebook, write 2 new sentences of your own for each vocabulary word, yes, that means write 16 sentences!
  4. Vocabulary Warm Up Exercises Handout
    • Follow the directions to complete the worksheet.
